SAN DIEGO & SHANGHAI, April 30, 2006 /For Immediate Release/ -- NOD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced the investigational new drug application (IND) for its oral insulin project (Nodlin) has been filed with Chinese State Food & Drug Administration (SFDA).

Nodlin is an oral insulin formulation to replace insulin injections many diabetic patients have to endure during their life time. It is estimated that there are 30-40 million diabetic patients in China with 1.2 million new cases each year.
